I too would be curious about the content and direction of that discussion. I'm not sure I see the connection to the current campaign, other than raising the issue of institutional racism and privilege as a result (amongst other factors) of slavery. McCain did inherit some wealth, but the bulk of his fortune comes from his father-in-law's beer company (institutional racism in having the opportunity to create such a successful business, of course, but that doesn't directly relate to McCain's ancestors on the plantation).
